Chick-N-Beer Opens Today!

While you might not be sold on kimchi (yet), we can all agree that chicken wings and beer are two of the best things in life. Lucky for those of us who love kimchi AND beer AND wings, Chick-N-Beer opens today at 6 p.m. in Uptown 23rd.

Partial owner of Guernsey Park, Truong Le, along with his wife, Chynne, have launched their new venture in the old Bubba’s BBQ space next to Cuppies and Joe and Starlite Hair Salon.

We didn’t try every wing in the building (we will), but can vouch for the ones we did. Chick-N-Beer offers a wide variety of sauces from Blackened Spice and Bourbon Teriyaki to Gochujang and Asian Five Spice. Try them all, but make sure you get the Gochujang! Chick-N-Beer also serves up appetizers like Sweet Potato Fritters (a Vietnamese delicacy), Kimchi fries, and Crispy Chicken Sliders, all of which will make you a regular. If you’re new to kimchi, try the kimchi salsa with fried wontons. It’s familiar enough and introduces kimchi to something familiar.

Kick back, grab a local beer (Roughtail, COOP, Anthem, Black Mesa and Iron Monk are all on tap) and watch the Russell Westbrook rock another triple-double on one of Chick-N-Beer’s many flat screens.

Don't miss the wings, but also don't miss the kimchi fries.
